THE MODERN COFFEE MAKER CONSISTS OF A NARROW CYLINDRICAL GLASS CONTAINER WITH A LID AND A PLASTIC PLUNGER THAT FITS SNUGLY INTO THE CYLINDER AND A NYLON FILTER. THE FRENCH PRESS PRODUCES RICH, VELVETY COFFEES WITH A SPECIAL ELEGANCE. RECIPE FOR 2 PEOPLE :
BRING 500G OF WATER TO A SIMMER AND COARSELY GRIND 30G OF COFFEE.
PLACE THE FRENCH PRESS CONTAINING THE 30G OF COFFEE ON A SCALE AND WEIGH IT.
PRE-INFUSE BY POURING 60G OF WATER AND WAIT UNTIL 30 SECONDS.
POUR THE WATER UP TO 500G AND PUT THE LID ON WITHOUT PRESSING.
WAIT UNTIL 4 MINUTES AND THEN SLOWLY PRESS THE FILTER.
SERVE IMMEDIATELY SO AS NOT TO DEVELOP BITTERNESS IN THE COFFEE.
